The Maxi Kimono Duster is Vael's inaugural and signature style, our full-length layer with long sleeves.
Fit & Measurements
Beauty is for everyone who wants it, so we designed two sizes with a generous overlap in the middle instead of the standard "One Size" for this garment.
Fit 1 is recommended for sizes S-XL. It is 51" long and 23" across the back at chest height.
Fit 2 is recommended for sizes XL-4XL. It is 53" long and measures 27" across the back at chest height.
If you typically fall between sizes, two considerations that may help when choosing which size is right for you are 1) how you want the duster to fit and 2) your upper arm circumference.
For a more tailored look, choose Fit 1. For a much looser look, choose Fit 2. If you are between sizes and have a thicker upper arm or broader shoulders, you may love the extra freedom of movement that Fit 2 provides.
Material & Feel
100% bamboo lyocell.
Breathable, antimicrobial, cool to the touch, and so soft against the skin. No plastic here.
Just heavy enough to feel, but light enough to feel amazing.
Design
The Maxi Kimono Duster is designed with wide kimono-style sleeves, side slits, and a generous cut for maximum movement and flow.
Hidden side pockets and a matching fabric belt keep it functional.
Wrist-length sleeves and ankle-grazing length allow for full coverage and full drama.

Moth & Midnight — Maxi Kimono Duster
A garden after dark, when everything beautiful has become a little stranger.
Moth & Midnight layers pale skulls, tangled florals, moths, leaves, and fine-spun golden webs over a deep blue-black ground. From across the room, it reads lush and romantic. Up close, there is always something else to find.
The print falls across our Maxi Kimono Duster, cut from the softest eco-friendly 100% bamboo lyocell for a fluid, weightless drape that shifts as you move and feels cool to the touch. The long open-front silhouette is finished with wide flowy sleeves, deep side slits for movement and style, and generous pockets.
Look devastating without requiring an occasion. Wear it as a long kimono duster over denim, a dress, swimwear, or whatever you were already wearing when you decided you wanted to feel more like yourself. Pair it with the included matching fabric belt, your own belt for a stronger statement, or wear it open for complete flowy freedom.

For who you became.
Care
We source the softest 100% bamboo lyocell which is bonded with the dye while the fabric is still raw. This unique process ensures long lasting colorfastness and exquisite handfeel.
While our fabric is intentionally designed to withstand standard washing, we still encourage being gentle with your garment.
We recommend washing on a delicate cycle with no agitator in cold water, or hand wash. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry, always inside out.
Bamboo lyocell is a natural woven fiber, and wrinkles rather easily. Give your garment a gentle steam or iron inside out to finish.
The Edition
Moth & Midnight is the first print created for Vael's Inaugural Collection.
The design was conceptualized and created almost a year before Vael's official launch.

Returns
We offer complimentary returns within the continental United States.
To initiate a return, email ____@__ with your order number and return request. We’ll provide instructions for sending your item back.
Returns must be initiated within 30 days of delivery.
Returned items must be:
- Unworn
- Unwashed
- Undamaged
- Unaltered
- Returned with all original tags attached
Once your return has been received and inspected, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
Items that do not meet the return conditions above may not be eligible for a refund.
Moth & Midnight is the first release in Vael's Inaugural Collection. It is a custom print on a midnight blue background designed for Vael and can only be found here in this limited production run.
Vael editions will intentionally change and prints will retire. Each collection becomes a part of Vael's history.
